Case Study

Keeping Troops on the Move

Dalo Group’s relationship with the Department of Defense (DoD) began with a 5-year IDIQ contract to deliver and maintain a vehicle fleet for Al Hurriya Air Base near Kirkuk, Iraq.

Trusted to deliver when and where it matters most

When the DoD needed additional transport vehicles after the troop surge in 2007 to the Air Base in Kirkuk, Iraq, they turned to Dalo Group. Our logistics expertise in automotive shipping, extensive network of Iraqi drivers, and local knowledge of the remote and austere environment made us the perfect partner.

Delivering at the speed of the mission

For five years, Dalo Group was challenged to deliver seven vehicle types—from nimble SUVs to bulky 34 passenger buses—to the Air Base within 48-hours’ notice. When an existing vehicle in the fleet needed to be replaced, we would locate a new one in country, pick it up, ship it, and deliver it within 24 hours.

Always There

In total, Dalo Group delivered 97 vehicles for those stationed at Kirkuk. During some of the most dangerous periods of the conflict, we were proud of our ability to deliver whatever our client needed, whenever they needed it.
